Mrs. Patillo has worked for the Diocese for twenty-five years and has been a certified Reading Specialist for ten years. She has been at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for ten years and during that time has been extremely successful in developing and providing assessment and intervention for children at-risk for school failure. Mrs. Patillo’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Westminster College, A Master of Education from Utah State University, and a Reading Specialist Endorsement from the University of Utah. She has been trained in Early, Next and Higher Steps reading interventions, as well as Wilson Language System intensive reading intervention and was an adjunct professor at the University of Utah where she taught pre-service and master-candidate teachers. Mrs. Patillo provides trainings for the OLOL staff as well as for the diocese.
