Our Lady of Lourdes School is a K-8 Catholic Elementary School, part of the Salt Lake Diocese Catholic School System. We have a total enrollment capacity of just 240 students with only one class per grade. We maintain small class sizes, especially in the lower grades, and provide individual attention to each and every child so that all children are able to reach their fullest potential. Classes are limited to just 20 students in Kindergarten and 25 students in grades 1-3.
Our Lady of Lourdes is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and the Western Catholic Education Association. Our teachers are licensed by the State of Utah and have more than 160 years of combined teaching experience. Our Lady of Lourdes follows the curriculum guidelines of the Diocese of Salt Lake in compliance with the core curriculum of the State of Utah. In addition to the core courses, all students also receive instruction in several specialty classes, taught by separate teachers, including Art, Music, Foreign Language, Physical Education, Computers and Technology and Library. Eighth grade students also have the opportunity to take advanced Math, Science and elective classes at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, located right next door to Our Lady of Lourdes.
Twice honored by the Martin Luther King, Jr., Human Rights Commission for our commitment to diversity, we call ourselves the school where “Everybody is Somebody”. Our Lady of Lourdes students come from every inhabitable continent on earth, from numerous faith backgrounds, from everywhere on the socioeconomic scale and from many different neighborhoods and cities along the Wasatch Front.
