Mrs. Herman has been principal of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School since 2008 when she moved to Utah from New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from William Paterson University in New Jersey and her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Caldwell College (also in New Jersey). Mrs. Herman has been in education for forty-four years; first as a teacher and then as a principal. Most of that time has been spent in Catholic school. She is very proud to be a part of the Our Lady of Lourdes School community where the teachers and staff are dedicated to the students and the school’s mission. Mrs. Herman’s philosophy of education is simple. “Education, especially a good Catholic education, is extremely important these days. It is our responsibility as educators to give all our students the skills they will need to be successful in today’s world.” When she has the time to relax, Mrs. Herman enjoys reading, gardening, and visiting with her grandchildren.
