Ms. Phillipp grew up on a farm in Idaho as the oldest of twelve children. Her mother insisted that all of her children would attend college. As a result, she naturally fell into teaching after bossing around eleven younger brothers and sisters. Ms Phillipp went to Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho and graduated with a degree in elementary education. She taught one year at Holy Rosary Catholic School in Idaho Falls, Idaho before moving to Salt Lake City where she found and fell in love with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Ms Phillipp has been the second grade teacher at Lourdes for the past thirty-seven years. When one finds a treasure like Lourdes one tends to stay put. She plans on teaching at Lourdes as long as she feels she can continue making a positive impact at this terrific school.
