Curriculum

At Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, instructional programs are designed to provide all students with a solid foundation in basic skills, the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills and an education in modern technology, mass media and computer literacy. We provide a sequential program of learning from kindergarten through 8th grade with an emphasis on providing for the needs of each individual learner.

Middle school students at Our Lady of Lourdes have access to a leveled Math program. They have the unique opportunity to take advanced Math class integrated with the Judge students at Judge Memorial Catholic High School which is located right next door. Our students have done exceedingly well in keeping up with their high school classmates in the advanced Math class.

Reading is one of the most fundamental skills necessary for success in school. All students K-8 receive periodic reading assessments throughout the school year to ensure they are progressing. For students who require extra help we offer intensive reading intervention as part of our Learn for Success Reading Program. In addition to intensive reading intervention, Learn for Success provides an Enrichment Program. The Reading Intervention program continues in the summer with an extremely successful six-week summer reading camp.

At Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School we believe that well-rounded students are the cornerstone for the future. To that end all students have Art, Music, Foreign Language, Technology and Physical Education instruction.  We immerse students in experiences that develop a sense of responsibility towards people in our community and the larger world community. Students engage in numerous service projects throughout the year committing their time, talents and compassion to others.

Our Lady of Lourdes School follows the curriculum guidelines of the Diocese of Salt Lake City in compliance with the core curriculum of the State of Utah. The school is accredited by the State of Utah and the Western Catholic Education Association
