ADMISSION CRITERIA & PROCESS

All students seeking admission at Our Lady of Lourdes School must submit a complete application package including an $150 non-refundable application fee.

Incoming kindergartners require no testing or interviews provided their birthday is before the September 1 cutoff.
Incoming first graders, so long as they have completed a year of kindergarten, do not need to be tested.
Students applying in all other grades may require testing and an interview depending on their previous school experience and their report cards.

We strongly encourage parents to enroll their children by 3rd or 4th grade. Students who enroll after that often have a difficult time catching up with their peers and may need to be placed back a year. Additionally, our classes fill up quickly and every year we find ourselves turning away many qualified students seeking admission, particularly in the middle school grades (6-8), simply because we are already full.

We do not accept new students in Eighth Grade unless they are transferring from another Catholic school with good academic and behavioral reports.

Our admission policy accepts students in the following priority:

1. Sibling of current students
2. Our Lady of Lourdes Parishioners
3. Other Catholic students
4. Non-Catholic students

Student Application Process

In order to avoid processing delays, please follow these directions precisely:

Step 1: Submit an $150 (non-refundable) application fee per child, and all documents requested below. Applications will not be processed until the application fee is paid and the documents requested below are submitted.
* Return application with copies of the following:
o Birth Certificate (All Students)
o Current Immunization record (All Students)
o Social Security Card (All Students)
o Most current report card and / or testing (Grades 1-8)
o Baptismal Certificate (Catholic Only)

Step 2
After the documents listed above are turned in, we will contact you regarding acceptance, denial, or if you are placed on a waiting list. (Note: Certain circumstances require placement testing and / or parent and student interviews prior to acceptance.)
Step 3
After you are notified of acceptance, you will receive all the necessary information to begin the registration process. This information must be completed before entering school.
