Roundup:  A great big THANK YOU to everyone involved with Roundup!   It was the most amazing event I have ever attended.  It was four fundraisers combined in one.  I want to give a special thank you to Jeff Kuehndahl for organizing the Roundup and the volunteers who worked with him.  It was truly an example of people who love and value Our Lady of Lourdes School working together to help the school; especially given the current economic situation in our country.  When I have the final details, I will let you know how successful it was.

Sixth Grade Sunday Mass:  The sixth graders are doing the readings for this Sunday’s 11:00 Mass.  All students are encouraged to attend with their families.  Those students attending the 11:00 Mass in uniform will receive a “Get out of Homework Free” card if they come to me after Mass.  The Community Life Group of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is hosting a pancake breakfast following the 9:00 and 10:00AM Masses this Sunday.  Tickets are $3.00/adult and $2.00/child.  Please try to attend.

Progress Reports:  Mid-quarter progress reports are going home today.  If you have concerns, please contact your child’s teacher by e-mail.  They should all be working now.  If you don’t think the teachers are receiving your e-mails, you can always CC me when you send them.  I’ll make sure they are delivered.

Ballet Trip:  Grades K-5 are going on a trip to see the production of Molly Mouse’s Sugar Plum Debut at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 West 300 South.  Permission slips are enclosed.  Please complete them and return with the money by November 25th.  Please consider an extra donation for those children who need financial assistance.  Please contact Mrs. Herman before November 25th if you need assistance.

FREE MONEY:  We have recently started a new fundraising program through a website called BatteryFundraising.com.  This continuous fundraiser allows you to purchase something you need and use daily: alkaline batteries!  When you order your batteries from our webstore linked to our organization code, we get 25% of the order.  The batteries will be mailed to you by the website and we will be mailed the proceeds.  It is THAT simple!  GO TO: http://batteryfundraising.com/  and enter our code: NHD858.  Everyone will need to buy batteries at some point this year (especially with Christmas coming) and if you buy them here, we receive a commission.  (See the enclosed flyer.)

Dan’s Grocery Receipts:  Our first month’s total for Dan’s was approximately $533.00 in receipts.  This translates into $5.33 profit for OLOL School.  Please save your receipts and put them in the box by the office.  It costs you nothing and can be very profitable for the school.

Tag Day:  This Friday’s Tag Day has a sports theme.  Be sure to bring $1.00 and wear clothing (hats included) that advertises your favorite sports team.

Thanksgiving Prayer Service:  Our Thanksgiving Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th at 8:15 in the church.  You are welcome to attend.

REMINDER:  Check your calendars for the Thanksgiving schedule.  There will be no school on the 26th, 27th, & 28th.    There will be 12:30 dismissal for all grades but NO EDP on Tuesday, November 25th.

The Faculty and Staff of Our Lady of Lourdes School would like to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
