End-of-the Year Preparations:
Please be sure that all your
financial obligations to the school have been taken care of before May 14th for 8th graders and
May 20th for grades K – 7 in order to ensure your child’s
attendance at graduation and the end-of-the-year activities. EDP invoices are in your
brown envelope today.
S.O.B.O.: Plans are under way for the big celebration of the end of school this year. Please plan on attending and helping where you can. A flyer is attached.
Dan’s Receipts: Thank you to everyone who participated in this program. We will be receiving a final check for around $65.00 from Dan’s. Continue to save your Dan’s receipts over the summer since we will be collecting them again in August.
Ink Cartridges: Mrs. Lopez is sending in one last collection this year. Please send your used printer ink cartridges to school by Monday, May 18th. Continue to collect them over the summer as we will be doing this again next year.
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp: Flyers for this program are in the Brown Envelopes. They are also looking for families who are willing to
host a coach for a week or two in their home. Families who host a coach receive a significant discount in the price of the camp.
Bingo: OLOL Church is holding its second Bingo Night on
Saturday, May 30th in the church Social Hall. The doors open at 6:00pm and the games
begin at 7:00pm. Each package of
Bingo cards costs $12.00 and is good for 20 games. Come and join the fun!!!
Bees Tickets: Bees ticket vouchers are available at the
office. This is a really good
deal, because they can be used for the best available seats on the date you
redeem them. The school will make
$5.00 on each ticket.
Uniform Exchange: Remember to save and send in your outgrown uniforms. We will be holding our uniform exchange
on Wednesday, May 20th.
You may turn in your uniforms ahead of time or bring them in that
morning. All uniforms brought to
school must be laundered and in useable condition (acceptable for school
use). Wednesday, May 20th
will be a Tag Day. Students can
either bring in $1.00 or a uniform piece for the exchange. May 21st will be Field Day
and the students do not need their uniforms. Friday, May 22nd is the last day of school and
students can come in their own clothes (acceptable for school).
Field Day: The students will be having a Field Day on Thursday, May 21st. Those who buy school lunch will be receiving a bag lunch. Everyone else will need to bring lunch in a paper bag and drinks in disposable plastic bottles or juice boxes. We will need parent volunteers for each class. It would be helpful if the class parents organized this.
