Annual Appeal:  This year’s Annual Appeal will highlight the kitchen renovation project.  This major project will enable us to use the kitchen to better serve the students of Our Lady of Lourdes School.  Please read the attached letters. Appeal 2009 Page 1; Appeal 2009 Page 2; Appeal 2009 Page 3

Happy Birthday!:  Fr. JJ’s birthday is March 5th.  We would like each student to bring in 25 cents by Wednesday, March 4th for a gift for him.

EDP Art Program:  We will be adding art classes to our special EDP programs.  The classes will be held on Friday afternoons from 1:00 – 2:00pm for 5 weeks beginning on March 6th.  The cost will be $50.00 for the 5 week session.  See the attached flyer.Abrakadoodle flyer

Ski / Snowboard Program:  This year ALL students, boys and girls, will drop their ski/snowboard equipment in the OLOL Gym on the stage before school. Anything they do not wish to take with them on the bus they may leave in the gym. Boys and girls will be called separately to come down and change before the bus arrives.

Calling All Bees Fans:  We have contracted with the Salt Lake Bees to sell vouchers for their home games.  These vouchers can be turned in at the stadium (either the day of a game or before a game) for the best available seat.  They sell for $10.00 ($5.00 of which comes back to the school), but can be turned in for seats of a higher value.  Ask at the office or send your payment in an envelope with your name and “Bees Tickets” on it.  Let us know if you will pick them up or if you want us to send them home with your child.  The vouchers are good for the 2009 baseball season with the exception of July 4th and 24th.  Flyer attached. Parent Teacher Conferences:  There will be a 12:30 dismissal tomorrow (Thursday, February 26th) for Parent Teacher Conferences.  7th grade will dismiss at 12:30 and 8th grade will dismiss at 1:00.  There will be EDP.

Book Fair:  Tomorrow (February 26th) the HSA is sponsoring “Bagels and Books” from 7:00 – 8:00am.  Please contact Stephanie Metos at: skmetos@comcast.net  if you can help.  The Book Fair will be running from the 25th to the 27th.

Lunch Orders:  Remember to send your lunch orders for March to the school office before Friday, February 27th.  This is necessary to plan for the month’s lunches.  We do not want to run out of food, but neither do we want to order more than is paid for.

Lost and Found:  Please label all your child’s removable clothing.  That way it can be returned to you. If your child happens to come home with something that is not his/hers, please return it to school.

Registration Night:  We will be having a registration meeting on Wednesday evening, March 4th from 6:30-8:00pm.  It is imperative that at least one parent from each family attend.  You will be receiving information and paperwork that will be necessary to ensure a good start to the 2009-2010 school year.  All paperwork must be completed and turned in by April 1st to ensure your child a place for the new school year.

Leprechaun Lope:  The Leprechaun Lope, our next big fundraiser, is scheduled for March 14th.  Rick Estrada is organizing this event.  Anyone
interested in helping him to make this a success can e-mail
LeprechaunLope08@yahoo.com to volunteer.  This is a good way to complete your
VIP hours.
